UX RESEARCH & DISCOVERY
The product details pages play a pivotal role in the
e-commerce journey. They serve as the bridge between the product and the customer. Enhancing the visibility, relevance, and accessibility of data points on these pages was the main focus with this feature.
With data points being one of the main priorities, they were arranged based on their relevance and the user's purchase journey. Essential details like price, availability, technical specs, and reviews would prominently be displayed.
With customers being involved throughout the design of this feature, along with usability testing, we were able to validate our design choices and make data-driven refinements.
The research and discovery of this feature involved conducting user testing sessions, extensive competitive analysis, collaborating with stakeholders, and referencing multiple research site to align our decisions with industry standards.

WIREFRAMING & PROTOTYPING
The wireframing & prototyping phase was an iterative process with the crucial data points being placed in different locations, then tested extensively with customers to ensure data is easily findable.
The solution that was implemented provided information to the users that was previously missing or difficult to find. A larger font was used to easily identify the cost of the product. Technical specifications are more robust giving users the ability to see all of the relevant data. The compare products was also redesigned to give customers the opportunity to view multiple product side by side.
In integrating UX best practices with data visibility, the PDP will now effectively engage users with their product needs, enhance trust, and drive conversions.
User Acceptance
Optimizing the product details pages goes beyond just data presentation. It's about crafting a cohesive, user-centric experience where relevant data points are effortlessly accessible, aiding users in making informed purchase decisions. The user-centric design approach has successfully accomplished this.
“If you think good design is expensive, you should look at the cost of bad design.”
